Between the two of us, we can decide on the perfect location for your session.  This could either be at my studio or on location like the beach, park, playground.  I like to do my location sessions in the afternoon, when the sun is low in the sky and at its most beautiful.  

Please try to wear coordinating outfits / colors for family session.  Pick a favorite outfit and choose options from the color palette and coordinate the outfits. Layer your clothing to add a variety of colors and textures. Let’s say dad likes to wear plaid shirts, then mom should keep it simple and wear solid tone that will work with dad’s shirt.  Children should wear similar tones also.  Can you picture how it would look if mom was wearing zebra pattern shirt, dad in stripes, children in polka dots and giant logo marked clothing.

I like to make my sessions personable to you and your family, so incorporating props that mean something to you work beautifully.  Especially for younger children, props are a great way of giving children something to do and prevents them from getting bored as easily.  They also help to tell a story and makes a big difference to the overall result of your session.  I have some props I like to use from time to time, but if you can think of anything you would like to bring, to incorporate into the session, I’d love to hear your ideas.  Some things you could consider are the family pet, your child’s  favorite toy, a bike, cute umbrellas, kites, the ideas are endless so get your creative hat on and together we can make your dream photos happen.

My aim, is to make you go away from your session having had an awesome time full of fun and adventure and just bursting to see your images.   If I make you feel like that, then I have succeeded!
